Luciano Pavarotti sings during the inauguration of the multifunctional fesitval hall which was built for the world exhibition Expo 2000 in Hanover, Germany, 9 November 1997. Over a career which lasts more than 40 years Pavarotti has become the embodiment of classical opera with his powerful tenor voice which effortlessly spans the skale of nine Cs.
