E’ morto all’età di 85 anni Mills Lane, l’arbitro di boxe della Hall of Fame che era sul ring durante il famoso incontro in cui Mike Tyson morse l’orecchio di Evander Holyfield. Rispettato per essere duro ma giusto, il suo comando “Andiamo avanti!” divenne il mantra di molti combattimenti memorabili. Lane aveva subito un ictus nel 2002. E’ morto nella sua casa di Reno, in Nevada, alla presenza di sua moglie, Kaye, e di due figli in casa.
