Woman found dead in Turin, husband confesses to the murder

A man confessed on Tuesday morning to killing his wife by punching her in the face, authorities in Turin said. The man initially said that he found the body of the victim lying on the floor of their apartment in the north-western city on Monday afternoon, after going out, so he called the police and an ambulance. The apartment showed no signs of struggle or trespassing, despite the victim had an evident wound on the head. After a thorough interrogation by the Carabinieri, the husband of the victim confessed  to the murder at around 5 in the morning. He said that he killed his wife by punching her in the face after an argument started for futile motives. The man, who is also 70, has been detained on charges of murder.
