Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi ruled out on Wednesday any chance that the constitutional referendum scheduled for December can be postponed, something that Interior minister Angelino Alfano had suggested just a few hours earlier, because of the earthquakes in central Italy. "There is no chance that the referendum can be postponed, full stop", Renzi said in an interview with Radio24. "Minister Alfano talked about it in hypothetical terms", he then added. "Let's not waste time, I find this debate surreal", Renzi also said. "The referendum will ber held on December 4th", he concluded.
